In this full renovation of a classic Miami Shores home, we honored the house’s mid-century bones while opening it up for the way a family lives today. The result is bright, calm, and effortless, where warm walnut, honed marble, and white oak balance crisp white walls and Florida light.
Past the terracotta-roofed facade and floating stone walkway, the entry opens into light-filled living spaces. Warm walnut furnishings and cream leather rest against a soft, neutral palette that feels layered, tactile, and unhurried.
The kitchen is the heart of the home: full-height Calacatta-look marble, a waterfall island wrapped in white oak, and brushed-brass fixtures. Top-of-the-line appliances tuck into clean shaker cabinetry, while carved-wood counter stools keep it warm and inviting.
A wood-plank accent wall anchors the dining area, echoing the walnut tones carried throughout the home. Every material was chosen for warmth and longevity, natural textures that feel as good as they look.
The bathrooms read like a private spa. Book-matched marble runs wall to wall, paired with white oak vanities, quartz counters, and backlit mirrors that wash the space in soft, warm light.
The bedrooms stay serene and restful, framing green views and the pool beyond. Outside, a covered summer kitchen and a generous patio extend the living space into the Miami sun for an easy indoor-outdoor rhythm.
